Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Assistant Manager Procurement to manage end-to-end procurement operations, vendor management, and cost optimization for engineering projects and operational requirements. The role requires strong coordination with projects, store, and finance teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing
[ml][ul][li indent=0 align=left]Manage procurement of [b]engineering materials, equipment, tools, electrical & mechanical components[/b][/li][li indent=0 align=left]Source and evaluate vendors for quality, cost, and reliability[/li][li indent=0 align=left]Obtain quotations, conduct comparative analysis, and finalize purchases[/li][li indent=0 align=left]Ensure timely procurement to support project timelines[/li][/ul][/ml]Vendor Management
[ml][ul][li indent=0 align=left]Develop and maintain a reliable vendor database[/li][li indent=0 align=left]Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts[/li][li indent=0 align=left]Monitor vendor performance and resolve supply issues[/li][/ul][/ml]Planning & Coordination
[ml][ul][li indent=0 align=left]Coordinate with [b]projects, store, and engineering teams[/b] for material requirements[/li][li indent=0 align=left]Align procurement planning with project schedules[/li][li indent=0 align=left]Avoid stock-outs and overstocking through demand planning[/li][/ul][/ml]ERP / System Management
[ml][ul][li indent=0 align=left]Manage procurement processes in [b]ERP/Odoo system[/b][/li][li indent=0 align=left]Maintain purchase orders, GRNs, and supplier records[/li][li indent=0 align=left]Generate procurement and cost reports[/li][/ul][/ml]Compliance & Cost Control
[ml][ul][li indent=0 align=left]Ensure procurement complies with company policies[/li][li indent=0 align=left]Maintain proper documentation for audit purposes[/li][li indent=0 align=left]Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements[/li][/ul][/ml]Qualification & Experience
[ml][ul][li indent=0 align=left]Bachelor’s/Master’s in [b]Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering-related field[/b][/li][li indent=0 align=left][b]3–4 years of relevant procurement experience[/b][/li][li indent=0 align=left]Hands-on experience with any ERP [b](Odoo would be big plus)[/b][/li][li indent=0 align=left]Strong negotiation and analytical skills[/li][/ul][/ml]Skills Required
