Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the IT department, ensuring systems and policies are in place for effective IT operations.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage IT staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance.
  • Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
  • Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT.
  • Manage the IT budget and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify emerging technology solutions and recommend them to improve efficiency within the organization.
  • Act as the primary liaison with other departments to assess and implement IT needs and programs.
  • Ensure the security of the IT infrastructure, including backup and recovery strategies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar managerial role within the IT field.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.
  • Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems (SQL database management, Microsoft Active Directory, etc.).
  • In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks.
  • Strong knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
  • Ability to manage personnel and IT projects effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT management or a managerial role in IT operations.
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or MCSE are a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a focus on detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical staff.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
