Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and administer Jira Software (Scrum and Kanban projects), including workflows, boards, issue types, schemes, and permissions
  • Design and manage Jira Service Management environments, including request types, portals, SLAs, queues, customer permissions, and knowledge base integrations
  • Implement and maintain advanced automation using Automation for Jira to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts using Groovy (ScriptRunner) for advanced use cases, including listeners, scripted fields, workflow conditions, and validators
  • Administer and optimize Tempo Timesheets, including time tracking configuration, reporting, accounts, and integration with Jira workflows
  • Manage and configure custom fields, screens, field configurations, and screen schemes to ensure consistency and usability across projects
  • Design and maintain scalable workflow architectures aligned with business processes and governance standards
  • Configure and manage permission schemes, security levels, and access controls in line with organizational policies
  • Perform Jira instance setup and administration for both Jira Cloud and Jira Data Center, including initial configuration, migration support, and environment optimization
  • Integrate Jira with external systems such as Confluence, CI/CD tools, and third-party applications
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements for scalability and reliability
  • Provide end-user support, training, and documentation for Jira processes and best practices
  • Maintain audit readiness by ensuring proper documentation, change tracking, and configuration management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into Jira configurations and automation solutions

Required Skills and Expertise

  • Strong hands-on expertise in Jira Software (Scrum and Kanban) project configuration and administration
  • Deep experience with Jira Service Management, including SLA design, portal configuration, and service workflows
  • Advanced proficiency in Groovy scripting using ScriptRunner
  • Strong experience with Automation for Jira (complex rules, triggers, conditions, branching logic)
  • Extensive experience with Tempo Timesheets and time tracking configurations
  • Proven ability to configure and manage Jira Cloud and Data Center environments
  • Strong understanding of Jira architecture, including schemes, workflows, and configuration dependencies
  • Experience with user and permission management in enterprise environments
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex Jira issues and provide structured solutions
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
