Job Description:

Position: Network Engineer

Department: IT / Network Operations

Location: Karachi
Experience Required: 2–5 Years (Networking – LAN, MAN, WAN, Cisco)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. The candidate must have hands-on experience with LAN, MAN, WAN, Cisco devices, and network layers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and manage LAN, MAN, and WAN networks.
  
• Configure and manage Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
  
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues.
  
• Ensure network security through firewalls, VPNs, and security policies.
  
• Manage IP addressing, VLANs, routing protocols, and switching.
  
• Work with OSI Network Layers and troubleshoot layer-wise issues.
  
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades.
  
• Maintain network documentation and diagrams.
  
• Provide technical support and resolve network-related issues.
  

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of LAN, MAN, WAN technologies.
  
• Hands-on experience with Cisco devices (Routing & Switching).
  
• Good understanding of OSI Model / Network Layers.
  
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN.
  
• Experience with network monitoring tools.
  
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  
• Good communication and documentation skills.
  

Preferred Certifications:

• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
  
• CCNP (Preferred)
  
• Network+ (Optional)
  

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Networking.
